Run for the children 3k Family Run!

Oooooh this is our first visit to Manchester. We've got a few butterflies tickling in our tummies. Will you be there to hold our hands and introduce us to the big kids? Hope so!
Our 3k run is part of the Youth Games, which will be bigger and better than ever in this Olympic Year so there'll be loads of fantastic stuff going on, from volleyball to rugby league.
Swifty the Hare will be there to cheer all you along but watch out, he's a speed monster!
Every runner will receive a shiny (nearly) solid gold medal, so bring your whole family and get one each. There's no age limit on runners and no time limit on the race so even your gran can creep round on her zimmer frame, (just remember not to go home without her).
There's other stuff for your relatives to do in the park, so while your olds are playing bowls and admiring the gardens, you can be running around like a mad thing and playing on the kids or teens adventure playground.
